I wasn't being rude in any definition of the word. It was a spree of the moment interview, without any prior knowledge of Gretchen's film history. I first thought her to be a young, newcomer actor, within a current small independent film within the festival. She is incredibly gracious and was an absolute delight to meet and converse with. I was simply being honest in my approach and she realized that from the start.

  • How do you start a interview by saying I don't know who you are? It"s rude. IT would've been better to lie

  • I agree. Her face and name just absolutely escaped me. But as soon as she mentioned a few of her films I suddenly realized who was sitting in front of me. Yes, Gretchen is a real gem of a person and also a major talent.

  • I just found this randomly. This interview is so cute. I think more interviewers should know absolutely nothing about the person they're interviewing. It makes the conversation much more interesting. Gretchen Mol's facial expressions are so charmingly expressive.
