November 15, 2011. LA City Council votes to strike down the part of the deal made in 2003 that required developer Ralph Horowitz to set aside 2.5 acres for a soccer field. The way is now paved for PIMA, a garment industry conglomerate, to proceed with plans to build a warehouse on the entire 14 acre plot. The amendment was sponsored by Jan Perry.
