Air France Flight 358, a flight from Paris, France to Toronto, Ontario, Canada using an Airbus A340 airliner, departed Paris without incident at 11:53 UTC August 2, 2005, later touching down on runway 24L-06R at Toronto Pearson International Airport at 20:01 UTC (16:01 EDT). The aircraft failed to stop and plunged into a nearby shallow ravine, coming to rest and bursting into flames approximately 300 metres past the end of the runway. The Airbus A340-313X had 309 people aboard (297 passengers and 12 crew), all of whom survived without life-threatening injuries. Simulated in FSX. By Wenjie ROX.

  • bad reconstruction... the air france flight came in way too high you too low, you came in diagonal to the runway

  • If you actually saw the air disasters video you would know there was a shit load of fog. and an EPIC FAIL for taking the audio of the episode.

  • @wenjie639 i saw what was left over of the plane the next day

  • to early of a flare

  • I could do a better demonstration of how AF358 crashed, using the real weather on that day, i can't do it right now cuz i can't use my FSX without a graphics card...

  • all passenger

    survied

  • It was raining sideways during this crash with tornado-like winds.

  • @wenjie639 The runway in Toronto where they were supposed to land on was Runway 24L (24 Left)

  • @FSXfan007 I just saw the footage on the National Geographic Channel and as far as i've understood from that was they indeed came in way too high. Infact, they were allready like halfway down the runway before they touched down and had about 1500M left before the runway ended.

  • @MrPeed11 other way around

  • the pilots did activate the reverses in the right time but they forgot about the spoilers

  • Is This Air Emergency i think ive seen this on the show.
