Throwing seeds in the ground is not gardening. Mother nature can do that, but we like a little more control. We use a water proof file case to keep our seeds, catalogs, notes and To Do lists handy in one spot. Of course we have books as well, but for a quick look at our personal experience in the garden, we keep it all here. Our goal is to product organic, heirloom, and propagating crops that we can use, share, can and sell. We want it to keep producing so we are learning to dry our seeds and store them as well. There is a mountain of resources for you out there. Find the ones you like best and keep it to a minimum so you can get consistant information. Plus, always keep notes on your garden. What works for your neighbor may not work for you. Keep track and it will serve you well.
Wow you really ARE organized!

We have a big learning curve, so we need to be organized to keep notes and stuff. We used to garden in Minnesota, it is much different down here. Just like you and I, how much farther apart could two gardens be? LOL!!

Wow, you have all kinds of different seeds. I'm curious if your store bought produce seeds germinate.

Yes it is an experiment. We just started gardening again last year so we have a few seasons of experimentation yet to get thru. I know the Burpee seeds will produce, they did last year very well. This will be our first year with the true heirloom seeds and our own gathered seeds. We don't think the grocery ones will produce, but they might. They were not marked GMO, so maybe. We had trouble with our squash last year. Even the burpee ones, so we will see.
