Virtually every American child grows up reading comic books. Some never outgrow it. Even Hollywood is deeply into comic heroes. So it shouldn't surprise us to find some extremely good illustrators behind our popular art, especially when the subjects are cute high school cheerleaders with extraordinary powers. Teenager Abigail van Alstine has a natural talent for magic and in the course of her adventures discovers a terrifying and inexplicable ability to summon a wide range of demons to help her combat the forces of evil. First announced in 2001, the early adventures were written by Joshua Ortega and the comic was originally drawn by Francis Manapul.
