September 23, 1996 was a night WCW went to Japan and decided to leave the remaining members of WCW in town. So the NWO decided to party on WCW Monday Nitro. So how do I mean the WCW felt like they really got invaded by the WWF other then The Giant at the time. We saw Hogan, Nash, Hall, Dibiase, Virgil, 123 Kid (at the time) even The Nasty Boys. It felt like it was a true invasion of the World Wrestling Federation. Also you will see more WWF Stars then WCW stars in this spot believe me This is the full spot of their first big takeover of Monday Nitro. It is amazing when you think WCW needed WWF success on their program to compete with the WWF

  • The meaning of What WCW took from WWF is simple yes some of the stars were made famous in WCW! However Vince Mcmahon made some of these stars more famous in the WWF and WCW wanted to make a big name on these stars....That is why it is entitled What WCW took from WWF

  • @GrassValleyGreg

Bischoff and other writers he trusted wrote the NWO,and had them going well. When Russo came to WCW,Bischoff had to go with some of Russo's ideas.they were a 50/50 in creative ideas.Russo ruined WCW for the longest time before Bischoff got to come back.

  • Holy Shit... I forgot Teddy Long was in WCW. Let me ya Hollah, Hollah, Hollah playas

  • @cottontalk yes it was but only cause BITCHOFF cheated he combined the ratings for live and replay shows to out beat raw no one know that but me

  • funny how the 1,2,3 Kid never had muscles, made his debut at WWF against Razor Ramon and you see them both now as team mates!

  • 17:17 That's one scary-ass Slim Jim

  • @luvmenow33 Giant: "Yeah, snap into it"

  • I was at this one there were in Birmingham Alabama man those were the days

  • @cottontalk

The nWo angle was how they beat the WWF for so long, and it also ultimately undid them.

  • I love how so many people looking back talk about how bad WCW was. If I'm wrong correct me,but wasn't Nitro a top show getting ratings that rivaled or beat Monday Night Raw? How did it do so well with nobody watching?
