Thundersnow on February 22, 2009 in South Portland, Maine. This occurred during an intense storm which left two feet of snow in western Maine and close to 90K people without power. Pressure falls of 10mb/3hr for 6 hours led to intense rising motion and the ageostrophic flow which turned rain over to snow.
