This is my border collie Allie. She is nine years old. She has a disorder where after about 5 - 10 min she will collapse. This particular time only took 8 min for her to collapse. This is her first time collapsing in about 1.5 yrs because I normally prevent it by throwing the ball no more than 10 times and just taking it easy. But for research sake this is a onetime ONLY where I induced a collapse for the sake of research in hopes of learning more and possibly finding a cure. This video is part 2 of 4. In this video you see Allie starting to get tired and in the end she will go stiff and finally collapse.

  • So sad to see this-hope they find the gene marker through research. Must be hard for you to intentionally create onset, but for the sake of others identifying what EIC is, this video is helpful. I have unaffected dogs-going to contact the study to give samples.

  • the dog is prone to bloat if you give it water when they are panting so much. The owner did the right thing, put the dog in cool water. See her episode #3. She would have caused more problems if she forced water to the dog.

  • I can't believe this idiot woman is deliberately inducing the dog's collapse, and there is NO WATER in the bowl. That is downright, deliberate cruelty.

  • Wow that looks sad she looks overheat

  • She wanted water. :(

  • Yea they aren't sure but believe it is genetic. Thank you for posting this

  • Is that water bowl EMPTY?
