Actually these corporations have turned most of the forests to plantations also in Scandinavia, so I guess it should be more like "Finland off the planet along with all the other nation states that only protect capitalist interests against local communities"...

The Money comes from life being turned into dead, disposable commodities. The whole industrial project rests on the domination and destruction of life, of which we humans are an inseparable part.

Biologically modern human has dwelled the earth for estimately 120.000 years. Earliest Civilizations date back to only ca. 5.000 years, and their history has been one of recurring exploitation and collapse. The earth-based traditions on the other hand represent the most sustainable human adaptation.

So, while on the upper decks of Titanic the party still goes on, "the hippies" are already crafting lifeboats by reviving forgotten skills and knowledge, establishing community gardens... Some are even attacking the machinery, trying against all odds to prevent a head-on collision.

Historia ei taida tuntea ainuttakaan sivilisaatiota joka ei olisi romahtanut tuhottuaan ensin oman olemassaolonsa ekologiset edellytykset. Paperiteollisuus, monokulttuurit ja verorahat ovat osa järjestelmää joka on juurikin tuhoamassa yhteisen toimeentulomme perustan. "Hipit" veistävät jo pelastusveneitä kun Titanicin yläkansilla vielä juhlitaan...

Vatvotaan näitä asioita vaikka kuinka paljon, ei ihmisiä loppupeleissä paljon kiinnosta jos puuhun sattuu. Aivan turha enää kierrättää tai syödä tofua. Maailmalla on jo nyt huomattavia säänmuutoksia yms. Justiinsa meni tulvissa 200000 ihmistä. Ja pari vuotta aikaa tsunamissa toiset saman verran. Onhan puut toki tärkeitä ilmaston kannalta, kaikkihan se nyt tajuaa. Mutta täähän on ihan normaalia ihmisen toimintaa. Ihminen käyttää resursseja, jotta sillä olis parempi olla. Myös Kuparannolla.
