AKITAS are just an amazing dog wether it be the american one or the japanese one like the one in this video
they are very inteligent extremley loyal true alfa males they are very powerfull but can be very gentle
you do have to be carefull with other dogs as they will kill them if the akita is put under to much pressure .
there quite however very good guard dogs probably the best all round dog you could have

@moodystar9 I noticed that when my father n law brought that akita female put in to the fam, that that was the "roughest" pup I have ever seen. What I mean is that it had sharp claws and was explosive. Its muscle and bone structure was hard too. On the other hand. They cull and run in mid east and russian videos of bout vs apbt's. But most dog breeds do run away after slinging a apbt around and getting on top for a while, after realizing how relentless apbt's are. They just wont stop coming.

My Akita boy cut open a rottie on a both side last month. the rottie was a bigger than my Akita and was loss & my Akita was on leash and he still he sent the rottie to the animals clinic to get a total of 27 staple though !

My buddies rottie shakes his male akita like a rag doll, the rotti is bigger by 30lbs as well. I have seen some large akitas. My father n law has a female. good dog, good watch dog,, but my American bulldog female shook her too. I dont think they are fighters.
