We entered the National Monument National Park from the western side. There were two tunnels we drove through, this was the first tunnel from the west side. The other tunnel, I also video recorded, see that here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsWAWeh6kaQ.

More about the park here
http://www.nps.gov/colm/index.htm

Between the two exits on route 70, to take this scenic drive is about a 3 or more hour detour. We made few stops and did not do any hiking in the park. If this is done, time needed to see this park would be more. The reason being is the road winds along the side of the mountain, which is windy and driving speeds are about 30-40 mph, going faster than this can be dangerous.
