It's all normal hun :) I had my first break-up at 17 as well and I remember being sad and crying all the time. but nowadays, I am a person who I feel good to be with and I don't think about my ex at all! You just have to take your time and remember, everyone's different and everyone reacts differently to the situation :) Take time to find yourself again and don't rush it :) xx hope you feel better soon :)

But yeah me and him broke up last December and it took me about 4 months until I WAS READY to delete his pictures and date someone else. Might sound weird but I would take it day by day meaning I would delete one picture each day and it really helped me out a lot and so did the new guy that I'm with. Long story short, it takes TIME and you feeling confident/secure enough to allow yourself to let go if you want to move on with life and be happy but don't rush. Wish you the best :)
Im currently trying to deal with a break up as well we were together for only 10 Months(Serious) but i wanted it to last forever its been about 3 months since the break up and i still think about her constantly i work 6 days a week so i stay busy but its still hard and i try my hardest tp stop but it only leads to more =( My friends suggested just talk to someone else but i feel like there is not anyone like her i just want to be over her and move on but i cant HELP!!

@DaKidVT It's completely normal to think about that person because they were special to you. You can't really forced yourself to be over the person, it takes time. It might take a long time but it will happen. and NO do not talk to another person. I have a friend who jumped in a new relationship after having their heart broke and it only caused problems. I suggest you make peace with that person so you can be happy. I suggest doing something fun though.

Getting over someone takes TIME. Do not rush it. It's okay to cry and be sad and all that because I mean, that's a natural instinct for anyone who was/or is in love but when you feel you're ready to step out of the "sad phase", stay active meaning going out, shopping, or doing things you like to do that will occupy your mind rather than having him on your mind. If you need to write, cry to friends and etc. do so.....
