SILENT HOUSE is a uniquely unsettling horror thriller starring Elizabeth Olsen as Sarah, a young woman who finds herself sealed inside her family's secluded lake house. With no contact to the outside world, and no way out, panic turns to terror as events become increasingly ominous in and around the house. Directed by filmmaking duo Chris Kentis and Laura Lau, SILENT HOUSE uses meticulous camera choreography to take the audience on a tension-filled, real time journey, experienced in a single uninterrupted shot.

From the directors of Open Water and starring Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), SILENT HOUSE is based on "La Casa Muda", the official Uruguayan entry in the Best Foreign Language Film category to the 84th Academy Awards.

concidering the olsen twins got famous with full house this is a very funny title :D

Surprisingly her acting actually carried the entire movie.

The movie itself was pretty mediocre and predictable, but it's worth seeing just for Olsen's performance. I'll probably watch some of her other movies now.

Sarah was raped by her father and uncle. She psychotically acts like someone is in the house attacking her father, but it's actually her. In the end, she kills her father, wounds her uncle, and leaves the house.
