i would like to know, who is the girl with (sorry for saying this) smallest/shortest body? she attracts me a lot, even in Arcadia @Dance Power. :D what is the youngest age among them?
this group is more than awesome! they did so well and i like their teamwork.
i love pt! :) No awards can EVER surmount to how much people love this dance. Just for some clarification, a group is considered "semi-professional" when they dance for pay on a part-time basis (which PT clearly does not qualify). If anything, (for next time), an open category would probably work; and it really depends on the competition and their own guidelines for entering different categories.
like talaga said, we rehearse ONCE a week (twice if we're lucky and no one else booked the gym) and all of us COMBINED do NOT have the equivalent of the dance training others have. to consider us semi-professional because we have college age dancers is ridiculous
the whole teacher issue aside, age is NOT a factor concerning semi-professionalism. yes, we have older dancers but considering how long they've been dancing (some no more than 6 years MAX) would it be "fair" to consider them semi-professional simply because they are "not kids?"
it doesnt matter whether the teacher is there or not they wouldve smoked it anyways, and I know that there are kids as young as grade 9 in that group which can dance much better than other older ones...its not about how they got the 1st place because theyre older, or teachers dance with them, its how determined they are to put in so much in one dance...also how passionate they are on their given talents
Yea see thats where its gets complicated because theres a variety of ages in our group...and our training is not much compared to the studios we compete agaisnt
well i know for some its off the oldest person in the group.. ( wich isnt totaly fair) and at others it's the average of everyone and if its at say 18.5 you round up... and again some ability levels go off of how long you have been dnaicng others off of ballet training, and others off the highest trained person in the group
