Monty Python I like...only a few of their films though. I don't like silly, slapstick humour unless its aimed at children or the family (E.g. Home Alone is funny or at least warm hearted). I hate humour such as sexual puns (So carry on films i hate). I like The Office (UK) for its realism and David Brent, Curb because of Larry's character, Christopher Guest's films for is immense portrayal of stupidity and Woody Allen's films for its intellectual wit. But I think I should perhaps watch this film

It was probably the adoption of Groucho's voice. That always did it for me. I agree with you on Christopher Guest, but I find those funny because his character's lives are just so sad and futile. It is existential comedy! Monty Python are a great troupe, and I love Woody Allen too. In my opinion Monty Python is simple humor for everyone--like the 3 Stooges meet absurdest theatre--Allen is highbrow, and Brooks is in between.
