  • @LeMarkshow Maybe not for everyone but the snapshot of Gord's passion and creativity is undeniable. This is one song... you should hear his "hotel voice"!

  • No judgment, just sarcastic wit and hyperbole. But 1 out of 3 ain't bad. D'oh! There I go again.

  • @rockieso504 - the song was written over a decade before Katrina, please don't take offense to the title, as someone said earlier and I can attest to they didn't play the song for a long time after the hurricane out of respect.

I've watched this vid countless times and it's just pure and utter brilliance, Gord at his prime when he moved and lived in the music. Thanks again for posting

  • @rockieso504 it's about the nuclear submarine the new orleans you dumb fuck.

  • @rockieso504 fuck you you dumb illiterate cunt.

  • He deserves all the praise he gets, but as amazing as Gord Downie is, we often overlook the fact that Rob Baker is one hell of a guitar player. Man he killed this song! Awesome!

  • @urname125 -no you got it right man, he's talking about when he was young, the next line is and then we'll be married.

I love the Westwind part, a cookie factory in the west, so we liked the west wind best, and the wind would almost whisper "EAAAAATTTT MMMEEEE COME ON AND EEEAAAAATTTT MEEEE" haha, he even plays on the senses, so simple yet so brilliant.

Best band EVER for so many reasons

  • 4:20 ... "first we'll climb a tree and maybe then we'll talk. i will touch your cunt, you will touch my cock." is that what he says? lol either that or car. at first i thought he said heart, but now i cant here it anymore.
