Things I forgot to mention; The handle easily breaks down into a Z shape so the mower can be stored in very tight places without the handle sticking out. Also, this comes with a manufacturer's 2 year warranty. If it fails to start within 2 pulls, Sears will fix it. It only covers defects.

There is also a 3 year service contract available for an additional $40. that covers you further, but I don't know how much further. I did not buy the service contract because I felt the mower was unlikely to break within that time.

  • @MrRedwings313 We were on a tight budget and we didn't need a self-propelled model cause we have a small lawn, but yours sounds pretty awesome.

  • I have a 17 year old craftsman runs awesome to this day! Craftsman are insanely awesome!!!

  • I can't find the primer button on my lawn mower so I can't start it :(

  • i just bought a new craftsman on monday that is self propelled and is a great mower i bought it just for the cabin

  • Got this in '08. Thing died in late '09 and has been in for repairs for three times to date. Not the best purchase.

  • I have a 2006 Craftsman mower, 6.75hp Briggs. It has been a 1 pull starting mower for 4 years. jthis on and the 1987 toro whirlwind tecumseh i grew up with are the best mowers i have ever used.

  • I also have tried bagging, picking up those tall weeds, as well as picking up lots of pine needles. It picks up like a vacuum. Mulching is great. I only try to let the lawn get about 4" in spots most about 2". I don't have clumps every where. I do clean mine out every time with the hose washout function, which is close to power washing the underside. Maintain it like they say and it should give no issues. I also get mine to start with 1 to 2 tries. Very nice mower when maintained.

  • I have a 675 series, of the same year, but a limited edition. I didn't have a blue handle. It is a big wheel model and a key start and it is self propelled. I got mine for $100 with tax brand new because it was discontinued and at a Sears Outlet store. I have had no problems with it. I went up a steep hill where the previous tenent didn't mow, so the weeds where knee high and some where the stick kind. Up the hill and threw the weeds with out even slowing down.
