The bit about BAR 36 says it all, good quality music yet Sunderland, in general, didn't give a fuck and the place closes down. Kasbian comeback 6 years later and the townsfolk are falling all over themselves to go to the gig cos now they're famous . Good luck, there certainly seems to be a sense of purpose.

Thanks for that mate. You're right, there were many other gigs at the time so pporly attended, Kaiser Chiefs, Bloc Party etc and I'm sure there are many now at Independent. Don't know why people don't just go out to see bands they don't know.
