@SKiiSMLIVE I did not. I credit the 2 leading generals. It is a fact though that Patten, the US general captured more prisoners and liberated more territory in less time than any other army in military history.

@TheMagicBolt Yes, Rommel was a successful general, and regarded as probably one of the best. They were, however, losing battles and the US was simply a finishing blow. The Germans were tired of fighting so many countries Australia, Britain, New Zealand etc. Italy only got in the way, and when you look at the amount of Italian prisoners of war, its astonishing. Yes, Germany was winning, but Britain defeated them when the time came. You cannot credit a victory such as the Battle of Britain to US.
