In 1963, David and Roger Balph decided there was only one way to be guests on Jack Paar's NBC television program. They were going to push a 1,000 pound cart across America and dare Paar to deny them their moment of glory. "The Big Walk" is a book about their story.
Thoroughly enjoyed reading the book, "The Big Walk" and the music. These two young men took on a great venture and their experiences are described in the book. Everyone should read this saga of the Balph Brothers and their story of Faith, Determination and Good Music.

What a true delight to see this historical clip on You Tube!!! As co-author of the book featured, seeing the vintage television clips of The Balph Brothers pushing their 1,000 pound cart across America, was a blast from the past.
And hearing the over 45 year old recording of the Brothers performing on those toy flutes was a rare treat.
I can only imagine how many people heard those same notes during the cross country trek in the 1960s.
