Medieval Times is celebrating it's 25th year in North America. Scott Limberg has been a performer in the show for almost eight years. In addition to portraying an 11th century knight in the high energy production, his job also includes overseeing the fight routines to ensure they are accurate and safe. The show's success, which features sword fighting, jousting, and special effects, hinges on detailed planning, training, and choreography. (Video by Andre Malok/The Star-Ledger)

This is not an historically accurate reinactment. This is a dramatic presentation. The combat has to be choreographed for visual effect as well as to be seen by everyone in the arena. Call it dramatic license.
