just like rivver view on belmont with the parachute rides when my brotehr went to lane tech high .i went to schinder school .mydad was madd taking us there but it wAS WORTH IT SHAME ON COSTCOO.

@LiberTchick THat is such a depressing story but soo soo true, i feel the same way, my dad would always tell me that when i have kids, we would all go there together, but now we cant, its just depressing all together

i remember getting stuck on top of the roller coster during a lighting storm that came thru it cut of the power just for a few min this place was awsome.its a shame to se familys that cant get along to close down awsome places like this and kiddie kingdome and santas village great places to go whe you were a kid.

@Powerwheelskidd Unfortunately, it wasn't Costco who "pushed them out"....it was a family feud that couldn't be resolved. Half the family owned the land and the other half had a lease on that land, and because they fought and fought, they couldn't come to a resolve and ended up closing the park. So sad. Costco is just the first company to have jumped on what I assume to be a very valuable piece of land! But it's not their fault.

As am I. I moved back to Chicago in July of 07. At that point, I was thinking--one of these days, when me and the hubby have kids, we'll take them to Kiddieland just like I used to go as a kid. I'm so sad to think that my kiddos will never get to experience this awesome place like I did. :-(
My mom and I went three times this past summer. Even though I'm 26 years old (and she is much older), I still had a freaking blast. Kiddieland was truly fun for all ages and it will be missed, so so much.
