I'm a scotsman, e'ry time i listen to liam sing this, i grab my smithwicks, and get into a very anti-english mood. This song has many meanings to us scots, and to our irish brothers and sisters to the south. I see 3 dislikes now, must be the bloody sasonach's ( black and tans)

i heard them in chicago in 1962--afterward, i went backstage and they all signed my program...i wanted to go to the bar with them afterward, but my ma wouldn't let me...i was 12 years old...still crazy about irish music...but the clancy brothers are gone...thank goodness for the technology that preserves these performances
