2008 Music in May choir performing Verbum Caro Factum Est by Hans Leo Hassler, conducted by Craig Jessop of Utah State University, former conductor of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
These 300 students rehearsed together for less than 15 hours total before giving this performance.
From the Pacific University website: "Music in May is a festival that occurs once every year in the month of May and is hosted by the Department of Music at Pacific University. Approximately 500 high school students from all over the Northwest come together for a three-day music festival. These students have the option to participate in one of the three ensembles: band, orchestra, or chorus. Every year, conductors of national reputation are brought in for each of the ensembles, all of whom are well-known and established in the art of conducting, teaching, and working with youth. All ensembles present a final gala concert on the Pacific campus."
