@ANTIAMERICANCRUSADE The way I see it, they set themselves apart in that they don't bore you to sleep with the same exact church organ riff for ten minutes. The general tone and atmosphere is similar to a lot of black metal, but the dynamics and form of the music is what makes them worth the listen, in my opinion. As someone who personally isn't a huge fan of black metal for that reason, I find Belphegor a nice break from that. That's just my opinion though.
