Bernice Hazel Howze, beloved mother,
Grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and cousin was called from earth to glory on November 12, 2011 at the Pepper Hill Nursing Care Facility, Aiken,S.C.

Bernice was born on April 23, 1929 in Philadelphia, Pa. to the late Wesley Dowling and Ruth Lane.

Bernice attended the public schools of Pennsylvania and graduated from high school. Later in life she moved to Blackville, South Carolina and joined Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Lees, South Carolina.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Leroy Lane and one grandchild, Terrance L. Mayes.

Bernice leaves to cheris her fond memories:
Two Children -- Leonard Carl Howze of Blackville,SC & Caprice Howze of Barnwell,SC.

Seven Grandchildren -- Zantrell L. Mayes, Whitney L. Mayes, Demeatris Mayes all of Blackville,SC.

Kristal Dickson and Jeffrey Simms both of Barnwell, SC.

William Buckmon, Barnwell,SC and
Ivery Peak, Spartanburg,SC.

Five Great Granchildren,
One Sister -- Everdell Dowling -- Davis Columbia, SC. One Uncle -- Albert Bellinger Blackville,SC, A host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.
