Fab Dupont talks through the Sonnox Oxford Dynamics and how he compresses vocals. (Filmed at the Musikmesse Show.) More tutorials from Fab at: http://www.puremix.net
Nice demonstration, great plug, but despite what he says you can most certainly hear the compression kicking in with that sidechain technique, in a way I don't like personally! But very nice demonstration.
@benthemiester that's one way to see if you have a "bulk" hearing problem, ie...no highs=no discrimination of sounds as far as consonants and the like. I would add, if I may, newbies should go ahead and get a free hearing test to visually see where their frq loss/losses actually are, then they can adj accordingly if they are serious. I'm sure you know, as I,many old school PRO ENG's have hearing loss in critical FRQ's like 4K 12K,16K (soda/hiss). Knowing those and what they mean is 101, A+ post
dude i wanna know some day all this stuff easy as you do !

@101AOK Yeah I agree, a medical hearing test is best. A professional ear cleansing couldn't hurt either.
