Fire in Trinidad CO 6 Feb 2009

Built in 1887 the Historic Franch Block Building (some know it as the Lonestar bar building) 2nd floor complety destroyed by a fire caused by electrical short on the 2nd floor....thank goodness no one was injured or killed in this terrible fire the red cross helped out the people left homeless in this fire + I have to say a special Thank You to the Trinidad Fire Department for all what you do for the citizens of Trinidad Colorado After reading the newspapers on this fire there was only 10 firefighters (even the captain(s) and Fire Chief that took on this monster blaze and Did Not let this fire spread to the building right next door or even worse the Bell block across the street Trinidad Fire Department YOU ROCK
Keep Up The Great Work Trinidad Loves You and thank you goes to Trinidad Police Dept. for insuring everyones saftey (spectators and traffic)

What are they going to do with the building now. it's been standing there all charred for 9 months. they should tear it down now.

A Local contractor has bought the property and is rebuilding and is going to make apartments out of the upstairs again from what i was told construction is in progress as i type this..

thats where i live and i remember that fire on main street there was smoke every where.me and my family saw it so well because we live up above the community center on a hill near safeway going up animis street

I want to thank you all for all the help and support you have given us in the past and present and future. you all rock. thank you for helping us at the nursing home when we have had insurvace you help more then people know. thanks guys :)
