hyper space exists in fiction like stargate. the real mobility of mankind is not judged by social strata but in our ability to traverse our physical planes. once nomads crossing deserts, domesticated animals to go further, boats, mechanical transportation, flight, to space exploration, which is where we are today and that leap is what is going to define us. hyper space. don't say it out loud.

And if a things node pattern was perfectly translated through successive moments it would technically not change, but would still exist. It would still be changed in the sense that there would be changed things in it's world...

I think this is where we can do some connecting... What you refer to as change can be broken down into two things. The change you are referring to I would refer to as movement through hyperspace, specifically, Astrotometric translation through hypertime.
