I wrote this song after the tragic sudden death of singer/songwriter Amy Winehouse. An incredible voice and spirit in music. May she rest in peace, and know that her artistry will be remembered by those who truly appreciated her.

Lyrics:
It's never been easy under fire
But you were never the one to take it lying down
A fragile balance on a frail wire
And flashing lights waiting for you to hit the ground
So you hit the ground
We always knew it would end too soon
Even though you had so much left to say
Now the demons crowd the corners in the shadows of your room
But you can drown them out in a bottle of Tanqueray.
Oh Tanqueray. Will you take it away
Maybe it was all too much
Or maybe you were too much for it all
Maybe 10 weeks baby isn't so long afterall
So will you take it away? (oh tanqueray)
Will you take it away?
Now there's tears falling in the street
And they're singing your songs and laying flowers at your feet
Now it's over and maybe you can finally get some sleep
And I've been staying up counting the bottles instead of sheep
I've been staying up counting the bottles...
Maybe it was all too much
Or maybe you were too much for it all
Maybe 10 weeks Amy, oh it could've stopped the fall
Maybe 10 weeks Amy, isn't so long afterall.
So will you take me away (Oh Tanqueray)
Will you take me away (Oh Tanqueray)
Oh Tanqueray...
Good deliverance. Thanks for posting. You count me out. My tribute to Amy. Jazzy &blues, check me out. Run it.

Hey, I like it. I've always been a fan of Amy. We all knew this was going to happen, but yeah, it's sad anyway. Congratulations for the song, very nicely done :D
