You're heading westbound into the Rays Hill Tunnel here. You probably found, as I did, that biking on the eastbound lanes comfortably is next to impossible due to the fact that that side is decaying more rapidly due to the mountain runoff of rainwater on that side. The asphalt on the eastbound side, in many places, is reduced down to the consistency of coarse sand. I hope SAC gets grant money to repave one bike lane on both sides... soon! Solar LED lighting for the tunnels can come later.
