  • Iazzzjad.......ndian food primarily consists of rice, curries, lentil soups ect. Rice, curry or soups(dal as we call it) need to be mixed before consumed and the hand(fingures) are the best way to do so. And if eating a burger or Pizza by hand do not look wierd, eating INDIAN food with hands does not look wierd either....hope that helps

  • yes we do...lol our ancesters never bothered to create chop sticks and spoon. besides, banana leaves enhances the taste of the food, seriously.

  • indian food tastes its best when eaten with hands. its just like kneading a dough with hands to get all the flavors. never be rude to once culture it show the uglyness in u

  • To all of you rude ignoramuses out there; "manners" are not universal, so this is not poor manners in his country. You are showing poor manners by criticizing people for doing that which is acceptable in their country. Eating with your hands is natural, and I'm sure your people used to do it as well. Learn to live and let live.

  • that brute mashing his food have no manners...typical of idolater indian rat

  • Since I know this is not all indian's way of eating. Its' only in south India.Kerala the most.If you go in northern India, Gujarat or Maharashtra state then they have much better way of eating then this. They don't squoosh daal rice like they do here.

  • I apologize if i'm offending anyone but it is not exactly appetizing to be seeing others eat with their hands (usually messy foods). I have no problem eating dry foods like hotdogs, sandwiches and sushi with hands though. It is most likely because I'm not accustomed to the culture.

  • banana leaf is an ecological plate!

  • Actually eating with your hands is very natural. Just think of it. When your a baby you eat with your hands. As long as you wash your hands very well before eating with them it shouldn't be much of a problem. You can even wear dispossable gloves if you don't want to get your hands dirty.
