An Auslan (Australian Sign Language) translation of the song Amazing Grace
This has been translated concept for concept, to fit with Auslan. Signing word for word makes no sense in Auslan, as the person was not literally lost, or literally blind.

This was made for those learning sign language at North Rocks Anglican Church to help make our church Deaf friendly. Any and all Deaf are welcome at our interpreted services on Sunday night 6pm

Thanks for your positive comments :) BSL and Auslan do share many signs (compared to say ASL and Auslan) but there are still some differences. Keep practicing and keep being exposed to Auslan any way you can, you will soon pick it up. The key is always practice

  • This is a northern dialect (sydney/brisbane)

Thanks for the positive feedback. I'm hearing but use Auslan to communicate.

We do a collective effort at our church to translate 4 songs each week. The sermon is also interpreted. If you are ever in sydney come and visit us. North Rocks anglican church

  • A beautiful and free auslan tranlastion. It was a pleasure it watch. Thankyou.

  • Yay! I'm doing Cert III in Auslan and I can understand practically all of this video, even without subtitles! Some of it is a bit different for slower sign-singing, maybe, but thanks for the good translation!
