FLIP VIDEO ULTRA HD (KODAK IS BETTER QUALITY)

i just bought a flip video ultra HD video camera with 2 hours of recording capabilities and i am using a Toshiba Satellite laptop with a AMD 64 AthlonX2 processor the videos i recorded record fine on the camera but when you plug it in the videos are very crappy they pause all the time and it's like watchin an old time Chinese movie sucks hard so i am taking it back and buying the Kodak Zi8 Pocket Video Camera which actually takes 5P 16:9 widescreen pictures that the flipcamera can't and the Kodak captures true 1080p HD video and it has a SD Card slot so it's internal memory is expandable up to 32 gigs did i mention it cost less then the flipcamera??

@SomethingNewNow Since its my bday coming up i thought of either choosing the flip or kodak...which do you recommend because the flip caught my eye and I checked test footages of it on youtube and It looked fine but I forgot if it had autofocus, image stabilization etc.

to be completely honest with you i would suggest the Kodak Zi8 it has more features is more user friendly and can be easily upgraded with various items such as an external mic and expanded memory and it is better in every way over the Flip UltraHD camera i had the flip myself and i took it back i have other gear now besides the Kodak Zi8 but the Kodak is a great product and i highly recommend you get that one if you have a choice.. just search for reviews on here of the Zi8

Flip is not compattable with anything!!! OK quality but Can't use the video file with anything but the flip moviemaker and that sucks. What a waste of $150. DON"T BUY A FLIP!!! I hate mine

I like the flip video quality better, i don't care what others say-

get a male to female USB converter if you dont want to plug it into your comp directly and put that (heavy lol) strain on your POS!

Or if you are computer illiterate then you might not be able to get the files in whatever media editing software you have.

the image stabilization is better on the flip hands down- and to anyone who is not just filming themselves in a bedroom needs this.

ps- my JVC handycam crushes the kodak

@RatedDan secret with the flip camcorders.. you can take a video and take snap shots of the video turning them into pictures.. just takes more effort.

How fast is your processor??? It runs fine with my dual core Intel PC...no lag but for any HD video editing you want a more powerful processing power. Love my Flip...doing the wide angle mod at the moment. Whoever said they can't use the video file with anything other than a moviemaker needs to do a better research; better yet stick with a cheap non-HD camcorder.
