This is from the film Midnight Cowboy, starring Jon Voight and Dustin Hoffman. The song is sung by Harry Nilson. This is the version that plays when Joe Buck (Voight) gets ready to leave the small town he's at for New York. I hadn't see this version on Youtube so I thought I would post it to see if anyone would like it like I do.
If you haven't seen this film, please do. It is very powerful and moving. It was also the only X-rated film to win a Best Picture Oscar (it was rated X due to its subject matter. The film is tame by today's standards (it was rerated R later on) but is still pretty powerful and worth seeing at least once.)

It really is, I like it much better than his standard version on RCA. The guitar intro, and different sounding vocals are just much better. I first heard this version (4 years ago) on Dick Bartley's ABC radio show, and could never find it, until now. Thanks again!
Dick Bartley onced played this version on a radio show I was running at a radio station I used to work at, and this one became my favorite, the guitar intro catches my ear every time!
