Andrés Iniesta who scored the first and only goal in the World Cup 2010 Final against Holland. Iniesta scored in the 116th minute, Netherlands - Spain 0-1
A lot of people think Iniesta was in offside position, but here you can see Iniesta was not in offside position.
@inispurs the second time wasnt offside.. the first time might have been though.

[continuation from last post]...Whatever you conclude, Iniesta arguably interfered with the play: "Interfering with an opponent means making a gesture or movement which, in the opinion of the referee, deceives or distracts an opponent"; "the opponent must be reasonably close to the play so that the blocking, deceiving or distracting makes a difference"......if the last defender to touch the ball kicked it the way he did because of Iniesta's nearby presence, then arguably Iniesta interfered.

Two problems with the red line you drew are that (1) the freeze frame should be right at the point of release, which isn't the case for your line, and (2) IFAB Decision 1 says that arms are not considered part of the body for offsides. Even if you had a more accurate line, it was too close to call, and the ref assistant has to give the benefit of the doubt to the striker.
