In this week's Transportation TV News Update, details of a major transportation finance forum in Washington that drew an impressive list of some of the nation's top transportation finance policy makers.

Also this week, Mike Rowe says he's never seen a job he wasn't willing to try -- at least once. The outspoken TV host of the popular Discovery Channel series Dirty Jobs was in Washington to take on the job of campaign pitchman. We'll tell you more about the celebrity's cause and take you to a press conference where he helped launch the nationwide effort.

And this week AASHTO released another significant report on the impact of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Titled, "More Projects and Paychecks: Transportation's Summer of Recovery", the report illustrates how recovery act investments in transportation are delivering exceptional results.
