@sleekcartim: What does "gay boy" have to do with anything? This is a song of hope for anyone who's ever felt alone in their lives and yearns for a place where some ray of hope can overcome the feeling of hopelessness. If you believe heartfelt feelings are only for "gay boys," then I'm sorry for you. It's okay to feel things, like insecurities; some rather project them on some "other" to pretend everyone doesn't hurt inside sometimes, & that it makes a man weak. It's good 4 hiding from 1self...

This is what is special about Ben Harper- this is such a soulful &sincere piece of music. It's not pro/non religious - it's a song that moves you & it comes from a place deep inside which is almost universal to anyone who lives and feels. The vocals are so heartfelt and convey such a vulnerability that never for a moment feel contrived.
In a world where so many sing songs which say nothing and have no real feeling, for this I say "thank you," you made what a million hearts have felt a voice

Im not religious, you dont have to be to believe in love, to believe in life after love, and to believe that the people you love most are looking and watching over you! He may be of a certain religion but this speaks to everyone, the world in general.

@BenHarper13 Christianity go's back a pretty long time, I wouldn't call it modern. And Ben has some songs about Jesus, thus the inference.

Ben Harper is an awesome example of Christian faith in action...his lyrics are amazing. Also he is simply one incredible artist. Thank you for sharing your faith.
