UC Berkeley Decision Day 2009

so. a little background.
the day this happened.
i was having a bad day because i was being threatened with suspension for ditching 7th period which btw i do not recommend to anyone because they will catch you! i regret it but yeah so at the time that im making this video i was pretty depressed cuz i did not think i would get in since i had already been denied by UCLA, UCDavis, and Cal Poly : SLO so yeah i wasnt feeling too opitmistic about the whole thing. Thats why i was all "dont crush my hopes and dreams" because basically it would have sucked major booty if i didnt get into ANY uc's so yeah thats all.

@Cynica015 At the end of the day, if you have 10 Berkeley students and 1 Stanford graduate going for the same job, the Stanford grad will get the opportunity before any of the Berkeley students ever will. FACT.

@Cynica015 Additionally, since Berkeley is a State School, when the Economy goes sour,state school funding goes first. And because of Proposition 209, not only is there no racial diversity at Berk, but there is also a bias for California natives, which actually hinders a student[s] ability to explore, exchange ideas, and meet friends from outside of their culture. In the end, you are just left with a bunch of asians and Californians that all think alike and have nothing interesting to offer.

@Cynica015 The reality is that firms have a hard on for exclusivity. For example, UC Berk's undergrad population is a whopping 25,885 undergraduates, where Stanford is 8,000, Harvard has 6 thousand, and Columbia has 5 thousand Undergrads. If you have ever taken Economics, firms value a little thing we call SCARCITY, where the least abundant will always drive DEMAND up, always. This is why most jobs in upper management, consulting, and investment banking is reserved for the Ivy League.

@Cynica015 I was being "sarcastic".... I am completely aware of Berkeley and its status as the most prestigious state school for the lower class. I know a few people that graduated, and have yet to acquire a meaningful career.
