I love that Reba went back to college. Most superstars wouldn't take the time. It is inspirational that she valued education and did this -- and wrote a magical song about the experience. Praise her.

Although Reba did finish college and earn her Elementary Teaching Degree this song was not written by, or about her. Reba thought the message was powerful and women would relate to it, she was right. Rebas gift is the ability to sell a song whether or not she wrote it and Reba does it better than anyone else in the business. Some of the best song writers don't sing and some of the best singers don't write although Reba has written a few songs.

I was confused. She didn't write the song. She wrote a movie about her experience. It is also called Is There Life Out There? Within the movie, she recites the words to a song she wrote about her father called The Greatest Man. Thanks for clarifying.
