Rich, warm, beautiful voice. Perfect pitch and intonation and, best of all, emotion. She's just superb.

Thanks for your comments. I've left you several messages on your channel page regarding videos you have of the Perry Como and Garry Moore Show. Would love a response. Thanks again for your positive comments...I'm pleased that you are enjoying my postings. You have been blessed to see Dorothy in person...I never had the pleasure.

You may have me confused with another.i don,t have any tapes of perry como, nor gary moore.. i saw one video of dorothy on gary moore, and i know that she appeared several times with Perry Como, but i have no videos of the Como shows.i have a friend who met Miss. Collins,in the early eighties, she was retired at that time and had a home here in Vero Beach.fl..She was not well at that time.she died in 1994 at her home in Watervielet, N.Y.near Albany-very sad.i'm not sure if it was heart,so sad.

Thanks for writing back. I was responding to your post on the YHP Reunion clip as I thought you have mentioned you had such tapes...but I guess that is not the case. Thanks again for writing back. I am always on the outlook for tapes which I don't have in my collection. Dorothy probably lived with her mother in Vero Beach and then moved to Watervielet to live with her youngest daughter. It is a shame we don't have more of her musical talent preserved on CD and DVD. Again, thanks.

Wow! This song brings back memories. I'm 58 but have a passion for music that goes back to an unusually early age as most people go. I can literally remember songs that I heard at about age 3. My Mom was a singer in a small combo near Pittsburgh back in the early '40s. She bought me my first record player for Christmas in 1957 and an album by Fran Warren with this song on it. The record was on the Topps label. Anyway, thanks for posting these wonderful videos.
