Defense Secretary Robert Gates on Tuesday gave lukewarm support to a new White House-backed plan for a vote in Congress to immediately repeal the law that bans gays from serving openly in the military. (May 25)

About 28 "Thursdays" ago, they were "getting ready to vote on DADT", now, during the most contentious lame duck session in my lifetime, you think they're gonna bring This to a vote? Homosexuals or Gays are being recognized as a social class based on their actions. Are we classifying people as a segment of society based on actions, a black man is born black, a woman is born a woman, a hispanic is born a hispanic, a homosexual is not born having sex with a man. I've never seen such twisted logic to excuse this type of sexual behavior. Lets claim that drunks are a segment of society that enjoy alcohol, smokers shouldnt be discriminated if people are classified by actions.
