Going from my place to the Newport Aquarium when Shane & his family stopped to see me. We stopped at the Umpqua River Lighthouse, then Sea Lion Caves (largest seacave in the world & home to a year round population of Stellar's sea lions) with a view of Heceta Head Lighthouse. I didn't realize it at the time but the sea lion sculpture I had Steven, McKenna & Tanner pose on had a little sign that said not to climb on it!
: )

Then on to the aquarium, which was the home of Keiko the killer whale- the giant tank was turned into a walk through aquarium.

  • lol go 2o mins up the coast you got yachats where my uncle lives

  • Cool! When I was a kid and we'd head up the coast, we'd often stop in Yachats at the Blue Whale, where I'd order squid rings! I was, and still am a bit picky when it comes to food and that's one of the first times I started eating a "weird" food. I always looked forward to that!

    :P

  • i visited my uncle there and i had the clam chowder oysters and clams it was really good speaking of newport have u ever been golfing at sand pines

  • Cool! It's always neat hearing from people who've been to the same places!

Nah, my only golfing experience was caddying for some people who bought us at the slave auction for Future Farmers of America when I was in high school, then a couple years ago my best friend tried to teach me to golf, which is one of his favorite activities, but I was hopeless! I'm afraid I've never had much ability in any sport! But even though I was lousy, it was fun!

    :P

  • ive been to the sea lion cave. it was so cool

  • Yeah! It's like when you get out of the elevator you're in some totally alien world down there!

  • Thank you!

  • Nice. The music was great too.

  • Thanks! It is my favorite of Yanni's- it's a mixture of peacefully soothing and exhilarating!

    : )

  • Uh, yeah by the way- this is one of the finest tracks ever composed- this is about the only places it can be found on youtube, so very nice work. Love and Respect.
