F-Zero GX running on Dolphin emulator. With recent fixes, game is now playable at good speed with perfect graphics (except bug with shadows, you can fix by switching EFB Copy to system RAM). Speed varies from 40 to 60 FPS (out of max 60). It's highly recommended to use x64 or IL version, because usual x86 doesn't work yet. Sound and controls work perfectly fine.

System Specs:

Intel Core 2 Quad Q9505 2.83 GHz
4GB RAM DDR2 800 MHz
Geforce 9800GT 512Mb
320GB HDD
Windows 7 Ultimate x64

Software used:

Dolphin SVN R4865
Fraps v3.0.1
Windows Live Movie Maker

  • I'm assuming the judderyness is down to the video capture software as the FPS seems to constantly be above 40 and it should still play smoothly even at 30 FPS. The audio is a bit concerning but maybe like the judderyness of the video it may be down to the video capture programme and the game plays fine by itself.

  • @surfacingtacit You're correct, Fraps is a bastard to handle even for quads. Runs nicely at full speed with latest revisions of Dolphin :)

  • @video166 cba job and study at the same time. It has nothing to do with "laziness" since it is easier to buy the game, then it is to pirate it, i spent like 3 hours to get it to work. I am also not driving anyone of of business buy downloading 9 year old games, also you cannot drive nintendo out of buisiness. Get real

  • @KamakiriMusic Whatever, damn pirate. Get a job and buy your own games, they only cost 20-60 bucks. It's people like you that make decent game developers go out of business, because your lazy can't actually buy your own products.

  • @video166 I have to game rom now, and my 1000$ computer runs it at 50 constant fps ;D

Your emulator must have bad settings. Also I do not won a wii or GC, and I do not plan to own one either :)

  • @KamakiriMusic Don't, just buy it for your wii or gamecube for like 5-10 bucks off of ebay/amazon. Emulators suck, only the highest end computers can run emulations at optimal performance. My $2000 gaming computer can't even run this because they were simply, designed for the consoles.

  • Anyone that can point me out to whre you can download this game?

  • @nosound98 Fraps works really well (or at least better) if you save the files to a different hard drive than where you have your games saved.

  • @cptcrogge naah. i can't stand to see a game this good get destroyed by a whole bunch of annoyances like graphical glitches, sound skipping or missing cutscenes.

  • @86darkhorse

Caused by Fraps, try it yourself
