Ledger Live for Tuesday January 27th, 2009 - Ledger Live with Brian Donohue. On today's show: fans line up at the stroke of midnight to buy Bruce Springsteen's new album, "Working on a Dream." Back at The Star-Ledger headquarters, columnist Paul Mulshine and music critic Jay Lustig duke it out over Bruce's legacy, while host Brian Donohue can't contain his disgust over Mulshine's Jimmy Buffett comparisons.

  • I ain't gonna waste 7 minutes of my life listening to that asshole on the left. Bruce is an achiever, sth he wouldn't ever even dream of. I'll always listen to Bruce because there's always a song that will get deep down inside, present, past or FUTURE. Don't like it? Don't buy it! You could spend the rest of your life talking rubbish about Bruce. You'll never change our minds AND HE'LL NEVER WALK ALONE.

  • My opinion is that Bruce was on his peak in the middle and late 70s, and through all of the 80s. But through the 90s he got kids, and spend his time on his family more than his music. But then The Rising came in 2002, and after that he's been just as great as he was in the 70s and 80s.

An example: Magic tour was one of the best tours he've ever done!

  • I'm in this video. I just think its funny, I worked at the midnight sale they taped. Bruce is a nice guy, comes in every now and again.

  • If this isn't a joke the guy on the left is out of his mind. I like buffet. But his songs are all goofy. Not deep. Bruce speaks the truth, tells great stories, and had GREAT stuff after btr. Born in the USA and the rising are two of the greatest albums ever. This has to be a joke. Volcano is a deep truth..? Really like no that's just wow.

  • @ForYouBrucefromEddie

You're right this is a fake discussion. It's a comedy skit. Are you the first to mention this. I haven't bothered to look at other comics.

I do disagree that it's a waste of time though. It's amusing and fun.

"The vocano's gonna blow" that was funny.

  • This guy is obviously just holding a grudge, and is speaking for himself when he says, "even his fans don't like him".

    He is crazy as hell.

  • Exactly, Max Weinberg is a power house.. If you think that you have never watched the Tonight Show or seen The Boss man live.

  • THIS IS FAKE, NO FEELING. NOTHING. dont was this time, while you could listen to RACING IN THE STREET!

  • This guy on the left is a COMPLETE TOOL. Born in the USA had 10....TEN.....top hits. Max Weinberg sucks??? This guy has ZERO credibility! Not even worth debating assholes like this. What a douche bag.

  • i like to see that asshole write a song, and to b knocked on his dumbass ,don;t listen if you don;t like him don;t listen,he;s the greatest songwriter this countrys ever produced he;s loved around the world

  • I can not believe that Bob O'Reillys double just compared The Boss to Buffet!!!Blasphemy!!!! I don't know of many Rock Stars that have sold out venues in the 70's as well as in 2008. That's just unheard of and that's what makes him a Legend. Keep hating on The Boss, his millions and millions of fans ranging from all ages will keep enjoying his bad ass concerts. Got Hatorade?

  • This is just hilarious
