Sad that no one playing knows about the sniper rifle (along with the laser gun) being secret weapons only meaning no ammo for them every spawns in the world and they're pretty tough to find.
Even if you do find one you won't get any ammo for it and they don't come with much either unfortunately. I think the sniper rifle is perfect for this game, dunno why they locked it away. The devastator is a semi explosive sniper that pierces, that's about as close as you'll get.
