Gerber Answer 3.25 Drop-Point

This is my new Gerber Answer 3.25 drop point EDC. It's a great knife. Opens quickly due to the F.A.S.T. technology Gerber uses and it's a very, very smooth opening action. The blade came with zero "wiggle" and was well oiled. It could have been a tad sharper but I'm happy with it's stock sharpness. I'd suggest this knife to anyone.

im thinking bout getting this knife. looks great but i have only one question. whats that switch on the side do?

It's a safety similar to a gun. Obviously it's not the same mechanism but you get the point.

When the blade it closed the safety locks the blade in place.

Push the switch and you can flick open the blade.

When the blade it open the safety locks the blade in palce. To close just push the switch again and fold it shut.

Simple and very sturdy.

yea i thought the button on the side was the opening mechanism so i thought it was defined as a switchblade and illegal for everyday carry. thanks for clearing it up.
