Uninstall IE 7! Without add/remove programs

How to uninstall internet explorer 7 if you can't find it in add/remove programs.

Exactly, and that's kinda the problem.

You see, Internet Explorer is unfortunately too deeply integrated into the Windows system to be removed (without totally hacking it apart - and most probably breaking the system), and that's also what makes it so vulnerable (and tempting) to attacks from hackers.

Because of the tight integration into windows, a well aimed attack on Internet Explorer can do massive damage to the system (especially if logged in as an Administrator) BTW It killed Vista (flash)

Haha, if you read the description in the "add/remove windows components-dialog" you'll see that all it removes are the shortcuts to start IE xD

sivyboy1, try this (after "uninstalling" Internet Explorer ^^):

1. Open the "Run" dialog ('Win-key'+'R')

2. Type "iexplore" and press "enter" (or click "ok", "run" or whatever)

Then tell me what you see ;)
