This is in-car footage taken from the #211 1963 Ford Falcon, from the group 5B 1963-1967 over 2.5 Liter Production GT race. This car normally competes as the #5 Historic Trans Am Falcon, but for this event, it was configured as run in the 1966 24 Hour FIA Mexican Road Rally. This Falcon was awarded the Ford Motor Company Thomas W. Senter Memorial Award for representing the most significant Ford at this event.

  • For 2010, see Historic Trans Am racing at the Sonoma Reunion (nee Wine Country Classic) June 4-6, The Monterey Pre-Reunion (August 7-8) , the Monterey Motorsports Reunion (nee Monterey Historics (August 12-15) and the Coronado Speed festival September 24-26 1 second ago

  • Dude thanks so much for posting this. I go every year and it's almost as exciting just to see your video.

WTF was with no trans am#($i#(I$#!????

  • No T/A this year because of Porsche. There were so many of them there was no room for us. Hopefully, we will be there next year.

  • I got to sit next to Jim Taylor, the original builder/driver. He loved seeing the car out there again. And your performance made him proud. Great job out there and great footage.

  • What a great comment! Seriously, having Jim at the event and seeing his car after all these years was one of my special highlights. I can't imagine topping that weekend.

  • Nice last lap! Nice sound

  • Good vid. I love vintage stuff. Especially ford.

  • Trans Am would've been useless, as all they could've added to the class would be the Porsche 911.

  • The Sunbeam Tiger being chased most of the time is being driven by none other than John Morton, which makes this drive even more impressive. What an awesome video!

  • YEHAAAAA!!!!!! Great video! Thanks for posting. I was there and watched this race from the corkscrew but this was much better. I loved watching you shift gears and was yelling at the computer when you made it past the Tiger! Former Shelby GT350 racer.

  • I already emailed SCRAMP and they forwarded it thru. I can believe even one person out there enjoyed seeing the extra porsches over the TA cars. TA Class is probably one of the best and most exciting by far, not to mention very competent on the actual racing side. I just got angry that there was 80-91 fia?? and no TA.

  • Great sound )) And nice video )
