It was a hard foul but he was going for the ball. This reminds me of Joe Johnson when he was on the phoenix suns and got hit from behind by stackhouse (which was a more dirty play actually than this) and joe johnson fell on his face and broke the bone above his eye. It's a dangerous play, but ariza went for the ball. I hope no one thinks that this makes me a portland hater or a laker lover this is just what the play looks like :(
